Leadership Fayette Class of 2025 – Session Seven: Tour de Fayette County

On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, the Leadership Fayette Class of 2025 participated in Session Seven: Tour de Fayette County. Over a full day and more than 160 miles of travel, participants explored a diverse range of sites that highlight the heart, history, and future of Fayette County.
The tour featured visits to vital community organizations like Carl Perkins, Fayette Cares, Citizens for Progress, and the new animal center site. Stops at key infrastructure locations, including the Fayette County Airport, Emergency Management Agency, and the Central Administration Building, provided insights into the county's operations. The group also learned about economic development efforts through visits to Blue Oval City, Helen of Troy, the new Pilot and Buckee’s sites, and Memphis Packing.

Participants were especially proud to discover areas of Fayette County they had not previously been aware of, including historic locations like Tent City, the Wolf River, and the Fayette County Museum, as well as local treasures such as DeTerra Winery, Jupiter in Moscow, and boutiques and restaurants across Rossville, Moscow, and LaGrange.
This session was an eye-opening experience that deepened the participants' appreciation for the county’s rich heritage, vibrant communities, and exciting future. Leadership Fayette continues to foster informed leaders who are invested in the growth and unity of Fayette County.
